I was recently contacted by a journalist—an exceedingly common thing—and gave an unusually wide-ranging interview:

  • what’s wrong with American primacy,

  • whether to cheer or fear multipolarity,

  • whether New Zealand should want to join AUKUS, how to think about smaller powers in relation to “great” ones, and

  • the political divisiveness of militarism.

I’m not sure how much will eventually make it into print, but because I provided a written response to the interview questions (normally it’s a phone call or Zoom), I have my fully thought through words to share with newsletter patrons. ✌️
