I saw it on Broadway at the height of the craze for it and did not like it. I was in the minority and felt like everyone had drunk some Kool aid, had no taste. It was a very big very loud very joyful bandwagon everyone was jumping on. Not me.
Ohhhh, I am gonna have to re-watch it now... I finally watched it when it came out on Disney+ during the pandemic and I was living in America. The songs and original cast are *persuasive*.😅 But I knew enough about that time in US history to take it with a dollop of salt. Admire the form but not so much of the substance. Regardless, I will re-watch it then listen to the podcast.🫣
I've never seen (or even heard the music from) Hamilton because cynical old me assumed it was propaganda.
Apropos of not much, I just saw Renee Elise Goldsberry in an absolutely awful movie, Albany Road. Don't go near it unless you want to suffer through 2 hours and 15 minutes of dreadful writing.

You were ahead of your time! I think the culture has caught up to you, at least among under 40s
