Politico just reported that the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, “Bridge” Colby, decided that the Pentagon would halt certain weapons shipments to Ukraine, including:
missiles for Patriot air defense systems, precision artillery rounds, Hellfire and other missiles that Ukraine launches from its F-16 fighters and drones.
If you don’t follow foreign policy closely, and especially if you don’t keep tabs on Beltway gossip, you might have wondered why I ever bothered to write about the opinions and track record of Bridge. But it’s because I anticipated this decision and his reasoning for it.
A few things need to be said here.
