On US Foreign Policy and the Possibilities of Progressive Worldmaking
A book talk with The Review of Democracy
I made an appearance on The Review of Democracy’s podcast (they’re an academic journal and they have a show for political theorist types and students of democracy).
It was the most in-depth talk I’ve given to date on my book, Grand Strategies of the Left, and it was genuinely a lot of fun. In spite of saying zero expletives, it was a great conversation—you can play this episode in front of the kiddies.

I’ll release a version of this episode on the Un-Diplomatic Podcast soon too, but at the moment I’m crashing on a paper for a conference that starts in three days (gulp!) and a report on nukes whose relevance depends on it being more controversial than nuke specialists are typically allowed to be.
I’m technically on holiday in the Bay of Islands, but as you can see below, it’s a helluva place to write.
