Thrilled to know 'Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat' will be featured soon on Bang-Bang! It was my second favorite film last year (after 'The Green Border'). I also recommend 'Cold Case Hammarskjold' (about the assassination of the UN Secretary General who the CIA feared would impede their ability to replace Lumumba with someone more malleable) and the 1999 doc 'Mobutu: King of Zaire', in which CIA agent Frank Carlucci's name was bleeped out of all US prints. On the book side, 'White Malice: The CIA and the Covert Recolonization of Africa' by Susan Williams is an excellent disquisition on the topic (as well as on the overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah and others).
Whoa, I haven’t heard about Green Border or the Hammarskjold doc--those sound amazing! I remember seeing Mobutu a long time ago but might need a re-watch. Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat was unbelievably good (and fast paced)
There seems to be a slight lag between when the YT video is available and when it shows up in the podcast feeds - as of posting this comment I still don’t see it in any feeds
Yeah, it’s a strategy (for now) to help build up the YouTube channel—24 hr delay. The audio-only version of the pod is like 10x the audience of video, but we only just started taking video seriously this winter

Oh cool, that’s fine! Just wanted to raise it in case it was a bug
