Un-Diplomatic Does America, Live!
11 events across 8 days. That’s right, I’ll be making a rare appearance in the US of A.
I have a number of talks scheduled in the US starting next week, pulling me coast to coast.
If you’ve ever wanted to meet in person, catch me live, or catch up (assuming you’re an old friend), some of my speaking engagements will be public. Come out to one (or more) of these events!
March 27: Busboys & Poets
On March 27, I’ll be sitting down with friends Matt Duss and Nancy Okail at the Center for International Policy to talk about progressive foreign policy. The location, Busboys & Poets, happens to have been an important part of my origin story.

March 28: Yale University
On March 28, I’ll be joining my friend and co-author Mike Brenes at the Yale University Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy to talk about all manner of things—my political evolution, how to think about Asian security today, and what it means to be a progressive in foreign policy.

March 29: Security in Context and the 2024 Election
On March 29, I’ll be at Hampshire College in Amherst, appearing on a wide-ranging panel that connects foreign policy to the 2024 presidential election, hosted by Security in Context (and joined by my friend and award-winning pen-provocateur Spencer Ackerman!).
Gonna be juicy—details and registration here: https://www.securityincontext.com/posts/event-march-29-2024-us-foreign-policy-and-the-2024-elections
April 3-6: International Studies Association—San Francisco
Finally, I’ll be on a bunch of panels at ISA from April 3-6. If you’re registered for the event, I’ll be around. And if we can assemble a quorum of Un-Diplomatic readers/listeners, I’m contemplating arranging a community meetup on the sidelines of the conference.
Hit me up if you’ll be in San Francisco and want to get together. My schedule is very full, so don’t take it personally if there’s no time, but always happy to link up with old friends or cement parasocial ties if schedule (and health) permits! ✌️
