Interesting stuff, especially for someone of my age (63) and political bent (socialist), as I'd never before heard the term 'campist'. At first I was somewhat resistant to your argument, but as I got further into the essay I realized that, as an internationalist, it made sense. As we all know, the state cannot exist without violence or the threat of violence, and while the US is far and away the greatest threat of violence on the planet, all other countries - including Iran - hold the same cards to one extent or another.
In short, I am the one-world globalist your crazy uncle rants about at Thanksgiving dinner.
